I am wondering if a 2wd suburban frame and a 2wd longbed frame are the same any help would be greatly appreciated

I was getting on here to ask the exact same question. I have a 71 burb that has been wrecked bad enough not to want to clip it. Not to many resorces locally for a new one though plenty of long beds!!!!

there the same just use your burb body mounts for the rear of the burb only ones that are the same are the front cab mounts so you will need to use the old burb body mounts or make some.

I wish i was closer and i would scoop them up. For now i will have to take the advice and modify a long bed. Thanks for the help!!!!!

Any time thats what were here for if your going to lay it in the weeds I would try to find a 4x4 they curve up more in the front so if you convert it to 2wd it will give you 2in or so of lower stance.

The very rear of the frame rails dip down a little more I believe in the burb. Also, they stick out the back, past the body, and the bumper bolts to them.

There was a post in this section about it several months ago. In fact, I think it was Frizzle who posted about it.... I think.

hey Im about to do the tahoe job on my Sub so if someone wants my frame b-4 I cut it up let me know. I would rather it keep a sub on the road then to chop it up.. I will need your body to frame mounts cause I will be using a swb truck frame. Im in texas pm me

If you build a tahoe you won't need the #4 position body mounts from the Burb frame. You can just use cut-down bushings on top of the rails as I did.
