Thanks.... Huck!
Just wanted to formally say thanks to a fellow board member... HUCK.... he helped me tune my truck today and was a great knowledge for me and my friend.... Thanks! he really knows his stuff and has alot of knowledge and some great parts and trucks....

if it was huck... warren, I'll agree. He is an outstanding guy, and will bend over backwards to help anyone out. First time i met him was after a trip to his house, and my old GMC was making a god awful screaching noise. He quickly diagnosed it with a fubard fan clutch. (I had NEVER thought a clutch would do that) Not only did he have one in his scrap pile, but he refused to let me help him install it. He bled on the old one pulling it off.
It was about that time he yelled and pulled a gun on it saying he was gonna put it out of our missery...but then I think he realized that would put me sleeping in his yard!  Here he is workin on my old junk. The first one is Mr huck wrenching... I don't think he had started to bleed yet. Jamie to his right pickin at the dope smokin oold man's wireing job (previouse owner) and Pierce making sure the drivers fender isn't falling over. Second one, jamie is taking over the fender support duties, Pierce is wrenching, and huck is walkin around the back of the truck, probably cussing it. The last one is me leaning on the turd.. can't remember who the tall guy is, and Jamie yellin something or another at me. All this was quite a while ago... I want to say 2001, but it coulda been in '02. |

Met him at Norwood and really enjoyed visiting with him. He was stationed at Fort Riley back in the 60's and new quite a lot about NorthEast Kansas. It is a small world!

Thanks all----Hookers truck just needed the dist hooked up to full vacuum, some tweeking on the idle mixture screws and idle speed adjustment and re-timing to max vacuum. Sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut!! Huck
