1972 Cheyenne Super

So i'm definitely not new to this site in regards to using it, but this is the first time i will be posting.

i figured if im surfing on it i main as well start posting up pics of the trucks my dad and i have...

this thread is for my 1972 Cheyenne Super.. stock 402, air, tilt, tach, wood bed..

always been in love with this trucks and we have had many in the family.. but this was the first one we bought as a toy and it has been a lot of fun.

i have had it for about 4 years now, and done a bit of work to it since stock... but haven't documented any of that.. so i plan to document it on this thread from this point on!

here is a couple pics from when i first got it..

since then we changed the block out to a 454, dropped the truck about 3" in the front, and 1 1/2 or 2 in the back.. put on centerlines and wrapped those with mickey thompsons.. tires are 8" in the front and 15" in the back.. they hook up

so we live in canada, and we get destroyed by winter up here in Saskatchewan.. 40 below freezing sometimes.. so she lives in the heated garage for the winter.. this winter's plan is to re do the wood bed, and do a bit of motor work.. going to put rocker locks and some taller valve covers on it, and possibly change to hydroboost brakes. Also needs new leafs in the back and a bit of work on the traction bar system we had made.. works good just needs some adjusting. New shorter air shocks because of lowering it will get installed too.. the ones from before are too long so we can't run air in them.. not good... results in all the torque on the springs.. and this...

wood bed should be good.. might do it in walnut.. i like woodworking so might do it myself. we shall see

anyways, thats a good start... hopefully i can keep the thread alive all winter

Nice truck!
Looks really solid too. How the heck did you find something like that nice up here? Or did you bring it up from the south?

Re: 1972 Cheyenne Super

Thanks guys!

i got it from a guy in a town just outside of Saskatoon...

he owns Hanson RV.. and i think he brings them up from the states. its an Arizona truck from what i was told.

if you go on autotrader.ca and search these old beasts he usually has a few on there.. usually asking a lot of money though
