removing eec"s canister/lines?

my questions are.. can i remove my emmissions canister ans all vacuum line to and from it completly eliminating it with out any problems with performance? or emmissions testing here in az? my last emmission test they didnt check under the hood at all. i would love to get rid of it and its lines.. thx,dave

I changed tanks awhile back and the tank I put in didn't have the ecc hookups. I just unhooked the lines, never even plugged them, I have not noticed any performance difference at all.

That being said, I live in Kentucky and they don't test for emissions here, so don't know what to tell you on that.

i thought the gas tank didnt have any lines but the lines were in the fuel float assembly? are there others? where?
