Is this the right tire size for my truck?

My truck is lowered about 4-6 (3/6 in these pictures) and will be a daily driven truck so I want to stay away from a rubber band size tire. I was thinking a 255-45-20 in front and a 295-45-20 or 295-40-20 in the rear. Looks like most here are running a 40 series tire which might be a little thin on the sidewall form me but I dont want too much height either. The tires on the truck now are about 31" tall and the new sizes should be about 1" shorter. Any recomendations/opinions?

Here is the truck they are going on (currently in body shop jail)

I like the look of 245/40-20's and 295/40-20's.

Yeah me too but most truck I see with that setup look to be lowered a bit more.

What size are you stock tires? Mine are 275/75/15 and when I punch that in here it shows a diameter of 31.2" and the new 255/45/20 is only 29" high. That's more than 2" shorter.

the tires now are 75r-16.5 so the measurement I got was from a tape measure but I meant to type 30" on the original post.

I really like the look of the shorter tire but I think I will have to leave that look for my Blazer which is rarely driven
