First project 1970 swb c10

I am 17 years old. My dad bought me this truck early May 2011. This is my first car/truck. My dad and i agreed that he would buy the truck in running conditiond buy that the rest was up to me to fix out of my own pocket. It has a 350 engine with a few mods. and 400TH transmission. I am well on my way with this project. I was really lucky that the body was super straight!!! about 98% RUST FREEOH yeah and i was really lucky that the interior was already done!!!!

Just sharing my story. feel free to give any advice, comments or concerns

Hmmm...it worked now, that was weird. So is this gonna be your daily driver I presume? What are your plans for suspension?

yea daily driver. im keeping the suspension as is for now. not goint to upgrade just yet. my main focus is getting it preped for paint, installing the inner fenders, rear tub wheels, and getting some troque thrust M rims.

Right on well good luck. The motor looks clean, how does it run? Only thing in my opinion is ditch the tall back seats and put a bench back in....

Re: First project 1970 swb c10

it gets hot after you let it idle for more than 15min. and thats not normal. the pressure hoes starts to release vapor and shots of water. im pretty sure its the timing. i timed it at 0. maybe it moved.

Oh yeah old school trucks all the way man. i don't like any thing pretty much after 1993. all the new stuff is all about FASHION and rims and chrome. and technology. i like the simple stuff. just like the old school trucks.
