Need help decoding a 327...

I am working on a 66 c20. It's an Canadian built truck (Oshawa Truck Plant, Ontario). It was originally a 6cylinder 3 on the tree but was converted to a 327, auto overdrive tanny 2 owners before me (so I'm told). I found this code stamped behind the alternator. "C51108670 K10 03 TXD". I figure K10 means it came from a K10 but other than that I can't make sense of it. Does anyone have more decoding experience than I do. Any help would be appreciated.

You gotta look at the back end of a dog to tell what it is. (Not that I don't like 327s, I do.) Same with engines.

Look here for casting locations.

Then, once you get the number (behind the dizzy) decode it here.

Good luck-

1968SWBBigBlock already looked up the build code for you. Looks like it is a 350 instead of a 327. That is unless someone dropped in a large journal 327 crank. The casting numbers will only give you a general idea on what it is. It is sometimes left open to 2 or 3 different CID possibilities. It wouldn't hurt to look it up though.
