Question parking brake lever

what is the difference between the 67-68 parking brake system and the 70-72 parking brake system besides the lever in the cab?

Re: parking brake lever

67/68 is hand operated and exits the firewall in a different spot than the 69-72 e-brake which is foot operated

Re: parking brake lever

check out this diagram.....the first one is the diagram for the routing of a 67/68 ebrake....the second one is the firewall of a 69-72 (can't remember which year).....notice that the 67/68 exits under the hole for the steering column.....the 69-72 one exits to the right of the electrical bulkhead area

I think you should order the 67/68 one due to the fact that the fuse block on the interior of the 67 cab is turned 90 degrees and may interfere with a foot operated pedal one, unless of course you are going to change the wiring up too and want the foot ebrake???....

The other thing that I'm not for sure on is where the intermediate ebake cable (the one connected to the hand ebrake or foot ebrake) attaches to the frame after it exits the firewall....

Hopefully someone else will chime in to clarify for us
