Users Opinion of a Truck I may Purchase 72 Cheyenne Stepside

What do you guys think this would be worth?


1972 Chevy Cheyenne Super 1/2 ton 4 wheel drive. Has gone through a complete frame off restoration. Truck is 100% new front to back. Features include the following:

New 454 with turbo 400 adapted to 205 T-case.
Motor bay reflects OEM stock appearance.
Custom built 2 1/8 primary tube headers coated with 3" exhaust.
Fuel tank to underbed location.
Cowl induction hood.
Super Swamper TSL radials.
Weld 15x10 wheels.
12 bolt rear with posi.
6 inch lift with 36" tires.
Beautiful red interior with houndstooth inserts.
Tilt, Tach, Air conditioning, Cushion grip wheel.
Custom metal floor built in bed then coated. Looks like original.
Entire body and all restored metal dipped to bare metal.
Body and paint done in BASF/Diamont base clear.
Paint work is color sanded and polished. Absolutely beautiful. Many complements on this paint job!
All trim, bumpers, brightwork new or replated.

Is it completed? The one photo shows the trans cooler lines coming to the front but not hooked up.

I think his asking price might be fair, but I think in this market it will be for sale for quite a while at that price. Zoomin is probably more realistic.

Either way, when you get serious about one, if it's not close to you, ask a board member if they will look at it for you. Quite a few board members have done that in the past. Once it has been approved by a third party then you need to drive or fly out and look it over yourself. Once it passes your inspection you hand the money over. Even if it's being shipped back, you fly out and look it over. For the kind of money that these people are asking, you need to be certain it is what they say it is.
