front clip install

Hey guys....I am about to start putting my front clip back on my Burb. I am putting on an '68 GMC grille and sheetmetal. My question is this....Can I hang my fenders on the radiator support and my inner fenders, but install grille later??? I just wanna basically frame out the front first while buttoning up engine compartment. If I can do this, should I put inner fenders on fenders before hanging it to the car or should I install inners on truck first, then fenders??? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: front clip install

You can hang the fenders before putting on the grill but you may have to loosen the bolts holding the fender to the support so as to get clearance for the grill. To keep everything square make sure your "X" dimension is good which helps when installing the hood. I always hang fenders first and inner fenders later.
