70 factory colors

Were the 70 green colors that have the same codes as the 71 greens the same color with slightly different names?

And did all two tone paint combos have the top a different color which would mean it would have the chrome trim on the back of the roof?

And do the colors that have "poly" in the name meen it is a metalic color or what?

Re: 70 factory colors

Yes, Yes, and Yes.

Here is a link for paint codes and you can see that the greens with same codes are the same paint number for both years. http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/?gcl...FQtb7AodVi7YPQ

If a truck was a two tone it should have the trim around the cab.

Poly was the name for metalic back in the day.

Re: 70 factory colors

Here is my 70 with original paint. It does not have the chrome, but it says special paint on the spid. Notice how the top lip of the door is painted also.

Re: 70 factory colors

That truck was an exception. Possibly came through that way as "special" or maybe that color is not from the colors offered and the dealership took care of the white paint...or owner had it done post-sale.
