hood release spring?

is there a such thing for these trucks? my hood is in desperate need of one. but the trucks i have seen dont have one.

Not from the factory. you could get a spring from a 73 -87 truck and make it fit Should be pretty easy conidering the work you have done so far !

i just seems like there should be since there are two bolt holes on both sides of the hood pin catch

I have wondered the same thing, I have to take a screwdriver to get mine opened, Real bummer.. I'll have to try the 73 up idea.

There is a piece that bolts in thoes holes your talking about it bolts to the bottom of the rad support (or cradel ) and to 2 spots on the grill. The hole in the grill has a nut on the bottom the next hole in closer to the firewall it does not have a nut at the bottom that nut is on the grill support If you need more help send me a pm. Mario

Here you go have a look at the piece behing the grill. you need it to keep the grill stabel. the grill will get tougher too.

that large hood pin in the hood needs adjusted up or down to get the hood to pop up when you pull the latch. you shouldn't need a spring to pop it up,its built into the latch assembly.
