New Body Mounts Rubber or Urathane

The title says it all, what are the advantages and disadvantages. Im trying to stay as stock as possible so I am leaning towards rubber. Am I making a mistake??

Use rubber on body mounts. Use polyurethane on suspension.

Re: New Body Mounts Rubber or Urathane

I gave the poly's a try on 2 of my trucks and I like 'em. Be sure to give them a light coat of lube so they don't squeek. So far, mine don't and they've been there for a few years.

I had considered rubber but couldn't get the picture of my repro gas filler grommet out of my head. Ya know, the "crack in 6 months" kind?

Re: New Body Mounts Rubber or Urathane

poly mounts are ok for seldom used or short traps only trucks but a nightmare on a thousand mile highway trip

Re: New Body Mounts Rubber or Urathane

I'm surprised by that, I never noticed any difference in the ride.
