time for new tires

well i got pulled over the other nite for not having a plate light in my extcab he looked over my truck and saw it had bald tires and told me i had to change them and if i didnt he would fine me so i took them off my stepside because i spun a rod in it and here are what the tires look like... its nice having a posi rearend.

thats alot of money wasted.


what kind are you gonna get now? i like the aggrisive tread. maybe its just me, but high dollar name brand dont seem to last any longer,even more so when you burn them off

these are a spare set i had originally came on my step side when i bought it 4 years ago i have new tires for my plow truck that ive been running on my step side because ive been drivin that but im looking at a set of 285-75-16 runway enduro mt's for my step side there 160 a tire at my local garage

^^yessah... but i guess its gonna have to wait because i lost the rear brakes in my truck and my other truck has a spun rod bearing

sounds like murphy's law has hit you hard! Hate to here about your stepside though. wait, why not switch engines out and drive the stepside again, itll definately be better on gas anyway.

same here and I'm 26. gonna have to either sell my truck or sell my fourwheeler to pay bills and such, wife's car needs tires, truck don't, wife's car is better on gas then the truck by a little bit.etc.

Oh, to be 19 again....or even 26. I wouldn't care if I had to learn everything all over again.....

I just paid $650 for 4 tires, mounted and balanced and filled with nitrogen. I feel like I got out fairly cheap for a set of Geolander HT-S, OWL 245R70x16's.

It's all relative, but since gasoline is 10 times what I had to pay in '65, I'm glad tires didn't follow that markup. If that was the case, the tires I bought in '65, would have cost me almost $1400!! And, that was for 4 tires from OTASCO.
