RC Battery Charger Recommendations?

Hey guys, I am looking for some recommendations on a new battery charger. I've been having a blast with the Stampede, but hate having to use the 8 hour peak charger that came with it. I am looking for something that is relatively quick (an hour or less), and can be powered by either ac or dc current. I would like to keep the price under $60, and don't yet use lipo batteries. I have seen several offered, but have been so long out of the RC world that I don't know much about what is good and what isn't anymore, so I thought I would see what you guys here use and would recommend. Thanks.

Re: RC Battery Charger Recommendations?

This is a great charger, AC or DC use and ready for the future too as it can do Lipo and LiFe batteries as well. Built in balancer for lithium batteries and many charging leads included.

you will need a power supply as well

You can also get great prices on batteries from HobbyKing as well. The Turnigy and Zippy Flightmax batteries are great, very reliable and awesome price, they are all I use in my cars (I have 2 brushless 8th scale buggies and 2 brushless truggies as well as a brushless 10th scale buggy and truggy. And 2 helicopters.).

The only downfall to HobbyKing is that their main warehouse (and offices) are in china, but they did recently open a warehouse in the US. The charger and power supply would ship from china.

Re: RC Battery Charger Recommendations?

I actually wound up going with a basic Tower Hobbies house brand charger, but thank you for the suggestion.
