59 Apache, installing a 93 S10 Steering column

Hey gang,

Anyone have the wiring diagrams for a 93 Chevy S10 Blazer. I am installing the steering column in my 59. pictures to follow.
I need to know what color wires go to what.

Ignition
Horn
Blinkers
Hazards
High Beam
wipers
etc.

Thanks,
Scott

Wink Re: 59 Apache, installing a 93 S10 Steering column

Can you tell me which lenght the column must be to make a healthy conversion for my 58 apache.
I can buy one from a 89 chevy Van.
It measured 30" from under steering wheel till the lowest bearing.
I had a feel it's a little to short.
But not having to much room for the borgesons,I thought: short is oke.
But "to short" will make it worthless.
I allready read the whole thread.(no measurement)
Made me Dizzy!
WOW! Great Truck!!!

I think I first start with the power steering conversion

Thanks

TruckTony,
First thing you must rmember, in my Build I have an '86 Monte Carlo Chassis that hte truck body is on with the original 86 stock power steering box.
The column I used is from a 93 S-10 Blazer. All measurements are from where the top lip of the column meets the turning part of the bottom of the steereing wheel, base the measurments are as follows:

Re: 59 Apache, installing a 93 S10 Steering column

Thanks for your fast reply
I took the same measurments because there was no steering wheel on the column.
I came up with 30"to the lower bearing where the shaft comes out.
Measuring on my truck. That's the same lenght that I have inside on the original column/shaft.
I thought: lowering it 2" would not be a "Belly" problem as I would have tilt on the column.
I will give it a more "towards" stance and try to make the original steering wheel fit.
I have grant on the attic somewhere.
So I have a couple of options there.
What do you think?
Shall I go for it.
I only have to pay 50 euros for the complete column.
Thanks

My column works perfect.
Seems like very similar measurments.
I'd go for it.
