More upgrades

Well,
it looks like the 57 is going to get front disk brakes, power steering and a new steering column.

Pretty set on the CPP complete kit with the hub upgrade and tapered bearings.

Toyota box P/S kit and an Ididit column. Anyone have any advice on vendor, additional parts required or things to look out for? Does the CPP kit come with a pump, pulley and bracket?

While I'm working on the front end, going to rebuild the kingpins as well.

thanks for the advice...

Hey LDO... I'm in the same boat as you pretty much. I was looking at the CPP 6 lug kit... Did you get yours in yet? I'm trying to figure out if I have to modify my trans cross member. My kingpins are shot too... Might as well do tapered bearings while I'm in there.

Gator, I ended up getting the 6 lug kit with the upgraded hubs, king pin kit, trans cross member and a few other 'goodies'....more to follow when it arrives...

Re: More upgrades

I'm so jealous. Do you know how the new trans cross member mounts? Does it bolt in the stock location?

Maybe I should drive up to Pensacola, visit my buddy, and pick up the boxes off your door step!

Re: More upgrades

Gator, LDO's truck has an automatic tranny. If you are keeping the original three or four speed tranny you don't need to worry about the crossmember. These trucks don't have a crosssmember near where the m/c mounts if they are original.

Re: More upgrades

Russell-
I plan on keeping the stock three on tree tranny. I am pretty sure the trans cross member is stock. You sure the CPP kit will fit without modification? CPP site says manual trans may require modification... Thanks for your input.
