Largest Wheels and Lowest Drop Without Frame Mods on 82' SWB?

I think I've seen a 22" rear with 5.25" offset and 20" with 4.25" and a 6/7 static drop but I cant find the thread. Hoping someone can tell me the lowest static drop and largest staggered wheel/tire sizes with offset I can go with an 82' SWB.

Also wondering if an auto trans can be easily swapped from an 81 swb to a 82 swb with a manual trans.

TIA!

Re: Largest Wheels and Lowest Drop Without Frame Mods on 82' SWB?

I've got a 5/7 drop on my 74 with 20's all the way around. I have more than enough room for 22's in the back, with a decent tire.

If you get the driveshaft from the 81, it's a fairly simple swap. Add an external trans cooler, change your flywheel to a flex plate, etc.
