67-68 lower trim on 71?

I'm thinking about slapping some 67-68 lower molding trim on my 71 swb to break up the solid yellow paint and since it doesn't have no trim as of right now. Are there any photos out there with the same conversion?

The 69-72 3" trim isn't all that bad but for some odd reason I have those thinner trim along the wheel wells extended along the side of the body in my mind?!! Any photos or references post etc would help, thanks

Re: 67-68 lower trim on 71?

Looks like it's a tribute truck to every year they made these:

67/68 moulding/hood
69 mirrors
70 truck
71/72 front bumper

Nice truck though, and I do like the moulding

Thanks for sharing C30!!
I figured my truck is not #' s matching and far from original (originals boring) so why not step out of the box and mix things up a bit? I think that truck molding looks trick I hope to see more of some others

Re: 67-68 lower trim on 71?

Would the Rally wheels on that truck be 15x7 front and 15x8 rear? Or is it the wider beauty ring in rear?

Re: 67-68 lower trim on 71?

I always wondered why Chevy design didn't integrate the marker lamps into the lower trim in '69. it would have been easy when they changed the trim style.
I still have that in my mind when I get around to re-doing my 72....

Yes, it has 7's on the front and 8's on the rear.

There's a lot of fab work that has been on that truck. He modified a 67-68 hood to fit the '70 grille, lowered the markers, shaved the filler neck on the cab and added a filler door on the passenger side.
