Low odor primer and paint so my neighbors won't smell me painting?

I live in a pretty dense area...any recommendations on primer and paint that does not put off much odor? I don't have a booth. I could possibly setup a "plastic drop cloth" type booth in my garage if needed. Thanks!

I don't think there is such a thing!

Forget where i seen it but someone set up a picnick type awning that has the mesh screen on all the walls and a zip up door, it caught all the over spray but still allowed for air to pass thru, I figure if it was catching the over spray it probably retained a lot of the smell with it??

Re: Low odor primer and paint so my neighbors won't smell me painting?

the only type of primer you could spray that is low odour would have to come from a line of water based paints. I have some direct to metal primer from Auto Air which is a water based automotive paint, but I believe you have to use a water based, base coat over top of it.

Your best bet would be to run a box fan or 2 and put some furnace type filter in front of them to catch the majority of the over spray. You can spray them down with an air freshener before you start spraying to limit the odor your neighbors will pick up. I always use plastic drop cloths to cover everything from collecting over spray and also wet the floor down to keep any dirt and dust from kicking up into the air

I've heard that SPI epoxy primer can be rolled on with one of those sponge rollers.
