front end rebuild kit

Now that Ive decided to go ahead with the 84 C20 front end swap, I need to buy the rebuild kit for the 84 C20, looked in the market place, but didn't see anything that jumps out.

Anyone has any recommendation for a source for a decent quality rebuild kit with reasonable price? Maybe something they have used and performed well and easy to install?

I would just go to your local auto parts supply and see what kind of deal they will make you on all the parts. It is good to support your local economy when possible, plus it helps you establish a good relationship with your local auto supply.

Re: front end rebuild kit

I got my Moog front end parts from Early Classic (earlyclassic.com) and have been very happy. Was going to buy them locally, but just combined them with my suspension parts purchase.

I mostly agree with the Captain here, but all we have around here anymore is the chain store part houses. I would always support local owned business when I can, but that's just not the case around here anymore with replacement parts. With that said, I've buying most of my replacement parts from www.rockauto.com . They always seem to have the parts, and have many options on the grade of the parts, from low end ,cheap stuff, to premium grade parts from well established brand names. Also the prices are usually on par or lower than the chain stores, and that's with the shipping added in. And I wouldn't worry too much if the frame has been changed or not, It's what's under the truck now, and I assume you're not going to change it. They're pretty easy to I.D. as for what parts you need. And as was suggested earlier, swapping the later model stuff will get you the upgrades you want, and you will know exactly what parts will fit. It'll be some work , but will be worth it in the end. Hope this helps.
