Re: 65 column- shaved 4sp style or floor shift

will this fit/work in my 63? that is will it bolt in or do I have to modify. I need to rebuild my columns bearings and cancel mechanism.

Re: 65 column- shaved 4sp style or floor shift

I have never heard if a stock 63 and 65 column will interchange with a direct bolt in swap. I belive the shaft o.d. is the same and will slide on. My question would be the dash plate that it affix's to. Lemme look around and verify. Fwiw, I swapped in a 74 van tilt in 2 hrs start to finish. If the 65 to 63 wasn't a direct bolt in, a couple mods shouldn't take too much time.
