Rear mount fuel tank with leaf springs

I'd like to move my fuel tank out of my cab on my 1967 K10. I've seen a few threads on installing a Chevelle or Camaro gas tank and putting the filler behind the rear lisence plate which is the option I'd like to go but I'm not sure if the tank will clear my rear leaf springs. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this or should i persue another option? My K10 is a LWB if that helps.

Thanks

Adam

Re: Rear mount fuel tank with leaf springs

If you don't have a rear bumper hitch (mounted to the frame rails under the bed) then there are many fuel tank relocation kits available.

Have a read of this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=368348
