67 K10 rear end?

Greetings experts! Newbie here. Time to start asking some questions. I have a 67 K10 with a shot rear end. It appears that the bearing on the pinion has disintegrated and tore up the gears. Not sure if it has hurt the housing or not. I have asked around looking for a complete replacement and all I seem hear is, good luck finding one. My first question, is there something special about the 67? If the housing is ok, do you suggest doing a rebuild or buying a complete rear? What year trucks are interchangeable with the 67? If the pic shows up you can tell it was bone dry. Kinda surprised it made it the 15 miles home from where I bought it. Thanks in advance.
