lowered springs and tubular control arms ???
I'm struggling to get my 2" lowered McGaughys springs into the frame cup and my POL tubular control arms???
I swing the control arm down far and insert the spring into the frame cup but as I raise the lower control arm the spring slides out of the control arm pocket ??? Do I have to compress the lowered spring ??? I've seen plenty of videos where people just slide them in and raise up the control arms.... what am I doing wrong ???

Re: lowered springs and tubular control arms ???
man I bought two sets of McGauphys coil springs and returned them both, I really had a bad experience with their 2" drop I think it lowered my front end like 4" inches, here is a link to my write up on it, I hope you have better luck

Re: lowered springs and tubular control arms ???
It really depends on how much lowering spring you have wether you have to compress them when installing or not. I have had to compress most lowering springs on camaros when installing, but they wasnt much drop either. Most drop springs on trucks I have done were either 3 or 4" drop springs so they fell right in. Them control arms may also be a tighter fir, Ive never used POL lowers.

Re: lowered springs and tubular control arms ???
Well I'm at a bit of a standstill. The only spring compressor I could find that I thought had a chance at working was still too small to compress the stock springs. I can't use a jack to compress the lower arm because of the lack of weight. Ideas?
