Good deal on tach dashes !

I was going thru Cookville, Tn Craigslist and found this ad for restored tach dashes built by Ed Dial ,Ed's been selling them on ebay for 12 years and hadn't heard of this site until I talked to him and ordered one for myself . Ed's a guy who used to go to all the truck shows but he's had to give that up and restores the dashes to stay busy he builds them one at a time and only has a few ready to ship Maybe we can help out the little guy and keep him busy !. His price on ebay is $450.00 but he is selling them thru Craigslist for $400.00 with free shipping . Best price I've seen on them yet .

Re: Good deal on tach dashes !

Thats awesome thank you for posting his info. I would much rather use a factory refurbish than an LMC. I will be giving him a call shortly. Wonder if he does the vacuum gauge as well

Re: Good deal on tach dashes !

I had one in my hands a few weeks ago when I went picking in Shelbyville, TN. Stopped in with Chuck Hutchinson, got some goodies for the '69 and he brought out one of Edd's dashes.

The workmanship looked top-notch to me. Very clean and beautiful.

I've emailed Edd to see if he can provide blackface gauges (like original), I don't mind the whiteface but would prefer it to look more stock.

Just got a response from Edd, blackface is no problem. He doesn't have any in stock at the moment so it might take a week or so to get the black faces in.

Thumbs up Re: Good deal on tach dashes !

Factory gauges can work on the LS motor. You want be reading from the ECU though, you will be just like you are now.

The speedo will have to be changed over to a electronic are go to a GPS. I swapped mine to GPS.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Good deal on tach dashes !

Anyone know how to get in touch with Ed besides through eBay? The Craigslist post has expired.

I had hoped to order one from him in the next month, or two.

I only got him thru the craigslist address. No idea of his real email address.

He does run the craigslist ad (and ebay) on a regular basis, I'd just start checking when you get ready to order.
