Re: washerbottle

It doesn't! Factory TP2 trucks actually mount the bottle over on the right inner fender. Its in the assembly manual as far as location specifics. If someone could post that great as I can't with today's schedule of critter fun.

Re: washerbottle

Tim, the only mention I found in the FAM was this pic. No mention of it in the service manual. One pic on the cowl, and one pic. On the drivers side fender

Re: washerbottle

That page is the production installation of the washer bottle without TP2. The cowl mount drawing is for medium duty trucks and is so labeled for the 400-500-600 series.

Re: washerbottle

At this point the only problem I see is that the drawing is for the 71 release. It may or may not be the same location as measured for a 68. somewhere I have some underhood pictures of a 68 C20 with TP2, just have to find them.

Thank you very much for taking the time, sorry for taking up critter time. I went thru the manual twice and didn't see it

Re: washerbottle

I just don't understand why Roger Koop would have the bracket made with the bottom not bolted to anything

Never mind I see what I'm doing wrong

Re: washerbottle

Here is what I believe to be a factory 68 TP2 installation on a CST20 L66. Unfortunately I do not have a SPID to verify.

Re: washerbottle

Thanks for the pic. My concern was it sat too high for the hood to close, but with your documentation and picks, my concerns are fruitless

Re: washerbottle

At this point I am not sure the 68 originally used the same bracket nor hole location as the 71 drawing. But the 79 edition of the parts manual is showing 3905264 as the service replacement part for 68-72 w/aux battery. So please verify before blowing any holes. Hope to be able and run through my assembly manual again for a 68 applicable drawing today.

I have a 72 Jimmy, but a 68 front end, so at this point it doesn't really matter
