Yes I have seen the eBay extremes and I felt guilty about selling my NOS extremes for $735. I wish I had the several sets that I have traded and sold in the recent past. I just really miss them , sounds lame. just saying!

i have a few "special" parts that on occasion i consider selling (i could definitely use the cash for other parts). but just like you said i know i would miss them! that sounds totally dumb but it's the truth.

Re: WANTED Extreme Bend Tow Hooks

I understand that, I think back all the things I've sold, thinking I needed the money at the time. I've never seen a set of extremes in person, plenty of sets of 69 to 72's. I have three sets of those hanging in the garage if you decide you'd settle for a set of those

What would be the tipping point for someone to start making these?

$10,000.00 before you even get a physical hook ! 1000 minimum hook order.

Re: WANTED Extreme Bend Tow Hooks

I could sand cast these from aluminum. Of course, they would not be for actual use-but indistingushable from steel originals when painted and installed. I'd have to get my foundry back up and running ...............

This was discussed in length several times. A member even went as far as talking to a possible vendor to produce them. Copyright infringement, cost prohibition, liability were all issues that needed to be factored in.

Re: WANTED Extreme Bend Tow Hooks

He wouldn't have to worry about copyright infringement as long as he didn't put the GM part numbers on them. Cost and liability would definitely be issues though. WES

Thanks for heads up. not ready to pay more than I have sold and traded for several sets of hooks on here in the past. If I had a do over I would have kept all the extremes I let go. I did collect a lot of good nos parts in trade for my hooks. Sellers regrets I think it is called. a1

Re: WANTED Extreme Bend Tow Hooks

A set sold on eBay recently for $1000...I doubt the price will get any lower until these get reproduced.
