Opinions on a 205/60-15

Good morning all:

I recently got some refinished 5 lug 15x6" white steelies with caps to put on my project 69 stepside. Converted to 5 lug and disc, lowered with 2 1/2" spindle and 2" Blocks and a basic 4 corner air bag job.

Searching for some tires for the new 15x6 steelies and found some Goodyear Eagle 205/60-15's for cheap. Apparently the 205 is max width for the 6" wheel but I am thinking they may be too short at about 25" tall.

Anyone running a similar setup? Does it look goofy, too small in the wheel wells? I am already gonna be pushing the rpm's on the highway with the 3 speed and the 373's so if they look goofy as well I'm gonna keep looking.

Re: Opinions on a 205/60-15

It's merely my opinion, but 25" tall tires will look too small under a truck even if it's lowered. The photo of my truck in progress has 15" rims that are 8" wide with 205's or 215's (I think, I would have to double check for the true size). Keep in mind that my truck has a 1" body lift and car tires on 8" wide wheels sit even lower, but LOOK at all the air in the fender front and back...I can check the overall height of my tires regardless of actual size specs if it helps you.

I like the largest tire possible that can fit on the truck. I have 295/50R15 up front and 325/50R15 on the rear

I run 275/60/15 Rear 235/60/15. I just changed from 3.73 to 3.07. Highway driving is way better. Can imaging the RPM with smaller tires.

Re: Opinions on a 205/60-15

Bubba, FYI - the tires on my truck are 205/65-15 and they measure 24" diameter at the sidewall and 25" at the center due to being too small for that wide of a rim. They are just on there until the time comes for new wheels and tires.
