Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

Its better to ask for forgiveness than ask permission.

Please add yours, we will make a list and send it to everyone on the planet and tell them to knock it off

I used to buy that for XXX all the time and you want XXXX or XXXXX for yours?

Whats your lowest price ?

Can I send you $$ on paypal and have my wife/mother/brother/nigerianprince pick it up from you?

All around long before the internet. The difference is you had to have the balls to say it to someone's face before the internet.

Just needs a $20 part to be perfect....

runs great, just Needs a starter/battery.........

!00% perfect condition everything works, a/c just needs recharged....

Wouldn't take much to be a daily driver....

Been there done that, and took my lumps (or not) for it. Now, one can be a pencil-armed 14 year-old, and sit on the other end of an internet connection without fear.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

It actually is what it is. I think we all know that. Goes without saying. So stop saying it!!!! !!!! Doesn't really bother me but... "I hear ya". "I know, right?", These are catch phrases that come and go, whether on the internet or actual face to face.

How about "real world"? We had a guy asking for pictures last week in a thread. I showed some pictures of a couple of trucks I had owned and so did a few others. The guy got what he needed and thanked us. A day or so later here comes a member telling about a truck his friend is doing in his shop right now. He says "If you want some real world pictures, check them out". C'mon man, really? Real world? What world are the pictures I took of trucks I owned from?

"Just saying"

People think they can say whatever they want as long as they follow it up with this. Drives me nuts

LS swap it!

"Here is my '67 on 22s." Shows where the emphasis is, the wheels, with the vehicle merely the means to display. Aren't the 22s actually "on" the '67? Do you put your truck on the wheels or do you put the wheels on the truck?

So true! One of my friends had a '55 Bel-Air with a 283 with the staggered valve cover bolt holes. Puny WCFB Carter carburetor and stock exhaust manifolds. It did have a Duntov 30-30 cam, which he adjusted tight to .012/.008 for more top end, instead of .030/-030, as designed. So, it sounded pretty rumpty. Getting ready to race, people would always want to look under the hood. Half the time, as soon as they saw the finned aluminum "Corvette" valve covers they would decline to race. If you race and lose, and no money was put up, what's the shame in losing to a "Corvette engine"?
