Poor old 67 gmc...

Here is the back story. Was at a swap meet this summer and saw a set of buddy buckets in back of a pickup for sale. Had a fair price so I bought them. I then had to ask what happened to the rest of the truck. He said he had it at his place and said it was a 3/4 ton 4x4 also.

I made the trip this fall to check it out but wasn't able to buy more parts at that time. I just let it ride from there...

Fast forward to this last week, weather is going to be decent, (close to 40) made the 2 hour 1 way trip again and was able to buy some stuff this time.

Unfortunate the truck probably met its demise after me, but probably wasn't worth saving before me either. Took 2 hours to get the parts I did.

Last pics of the day. 2 hours of fighting rusty bolts! Newest insurance card I saw was from 97 in the cab.

Looks like you picked up some decent parts. He has a good selection of stuff overall, from first glance. I love those kind of yards.

Top dog '67 GMC in my book. Such a shame it became no more than a top dog '67 GMC parts source. A good example of top trim level with options, yet not the panoramic window

Also has a snow plow mount on front. Too bad it's looking like a goner.

Re: Poor old 67 gmc...

Well this is an incredibly small world. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba, but have family in Park Rapids MN. and visit often. My cousin and i found this exact truck in about 2005 on a lake cottage property between Dorset and ParkRapids. We tried to ask about it numerous times, but there was never anyone home, as it was a summer cottage. Then it dissapeared. We talk about this truck often as my cousin is also a 67-72 guru. But the truck never surfaced again. Here are my pics

Just out of curiosity, where did you get it? was is perhaps still around Parkrapids or was it in Pine river?(you can PM me if you like) would be nice to chat, i also frequent Lucken in winger as do you.

Nice haul! Wish there were yards around here like that but I'm always up for an excuse to head up north again!

I think he said the distributer is broken off inside the block. Truck will probably sit there until someone like me comes along again...

Small world, same truck.
It was at a small private yard outside of park rapids. I think the owner had passed and this guy picked it up for scrap after sitting for years.
I don't get to winger very often anymore, maybe once in the last 5-7 years.
