Papa Dale's 1997 Silverado
Papa Dale was my wife's father and he was always good to me as long as I knew him. He passed from a massive stroke at age 66 back in 2003. This is his truck just the way he left it......there's even still a roll of tums in the ash tray. Some of his tools are still in the bed in a cardboard box he always kept them in.
Mother-in-law called this morning and asked if I could get his truck running and get it washed. So I took the battery out and got a new one and put it in, then I drove it to my house and gave it the old spit shine hand wash that mine are all used to. The AC works, but isn't none too cold. All lights, blinkers, etc work as they should. The tires are from 2008 though. Probably wouldn't get too far from home on those. Odometer reads 78,958......still got a few miles left in it I'm sure.

Pretty truck. One of my friends had a Z71 with that color scheme back in the day. I always liked it.
