Steering Box Input shaft seal Help
I took a steering box off of a 80 to 82 (somewhere in there) 3/4 ton chevy and it had hydro boost brakes. I put the gear box on my 71. It worked great but leaked out the input shaft seal. All of the input shaft seals that I find or have bought are too big to fit. They are about 1.35" dia and my shaft seal is about 1.25" dia. The casting number of the gear box is 7802644L, is my seal different because of the hydroboost maybe?? Anyone know what seal I need for it or where I can get one?
