Tarnished Teresa

She's been with me a little while now so I guess it's time to give her some attention.

Not going to get real crazy but try to get as low as possible static.
New bushings, ball joints etc.
Keep the BBC and the TH400
Still undecided on the wheel and tire combo. Might go with a set of 15" rally's or a set of 20's.

Here's the day I found her.

Re: Tarnished Teresa

So is that a 69? A Big Block TH 400 Short Bed would be pretty rare. I’m jealous

Re: Tarnished Teresa

I'm not sure if this truck rolled out of the factory with a BB and TH400. The SPID in the glove box is a little suspect, It's not a high hump tunnel. It does have a 396 Badge on the front fender that appears to have been there about as long as the Custom/10 badge.

Re: Tarnished Teresa

I’d like to see the spid. Also, what rear end does it have (if original)?

Re: Tarnished Teresa

Will snap a pick of the spid.
What specifically do I need to look for on the rear end.

Re: Tarnished Teresa

Cool.

Some of the big block half tons came with a dana 60 vs the standard 12-bolt. Not sure which years that applied.

Re: Tarnished Teresa

No Dana 60 out back...…

As I said, I think the spid is suspect and Teresa may have a "Tarnished Past" She showed up with her DNA scratched out. As the saying goes if the shoe fits...….

Re: Tarnished Teresa

I see what you mean. Seems like that glove box came from a different truck. Wheel base, leaf springs, single tone paint, paint stripe, trim level.....

Regardless, it’s a cool truck. I’m in to watch.

Re: Tarnished Teresa

For a truck of ill repute, that thing is really cool! I'm mostly drawn to Squares, but I wouldn't have been able to resist that one.

Re: Tarnished Teresa

So I found "Tip" walking the back alley streets of Craigslist with nothing to do and just waiting to get into trouble.

I figured I would help him clean up his act, give him a job and in turn he would help me clean up some of Teresa's act.

"Teresa".. meet "Tip"

I have thought about going with 18x8 Delrays on my truck

(since you mentioned Rallyes and 20's)
