I now know a lotto winner!!!!!!!
My brother called me today from NC and had some fantastic news...He stopped at the gas station yesterday and bought 2 scratch off tickets for him & his wife...
He didn't win but she hit it for $250,000 with hers! They got just over $176,000 out of it. Not bad for a $5.00 investment.

That’s awesome!
I’d pay off a fraction of my house.

Re: I now know a lotto winner!!!!!!!
Brother is retiring in July. They have bought land and having their retirement home built in Hendersonville NC to be done by this October. They will have a new place with no payment. That is so great for them. I very happy for them.

Re: I now know a lotto winner!!!!!!!
Sounds like good news for your brother and bad news for you. I figure it's rare to ever know a lottery winner, you now know the one rare one, and that puts you winning at super ultra rare.

Re: I now know a lotto winner!!!!!!!
Well, I don't mean to brag, but you actually know 2. Won me a big $50 jack pot on one of them scratch offs 'bout 10 years ago
Seriously, that's awesome. The wife and I are trying to be debt free by 43 (40 now). I could have paid everything off and still had a lot of fun even with that amount. That's actually a really nice amount to win. That could pay off most if not all debt for a lot of people, and leave some "fun money", and it's not a large enough amount where you feel obligated to "help everyone out".
