Smart or Lazy ???

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share something I came up with. I got some all thread, nuts, drilled some holes in my transmission jack and bam! It's a now a transmission valve body jack. It really blows trying to line up the shift lever, hold it up and install the bolts all at the same time. So what so you think, smart or lazy?

Re: Smart or Lazy ???

It is said that necessity is the mother if invention. I often say that laziness is then the father of invention. In this case I'd say not lazy but smart. Often that third hand is what we need.

Re: Smart or Lazy ???

Honestly the drive was that my helper got tired of holding them up, aka the wife.

Re: Smart or Lazy ???

Definitely not lazy.

If you use it again - smart.

If the next time you go to use it you can't find all the parts and spend more time searching for the parts then you will possibly save by using it - then you are me.

Re: Smart or Lazy ???

Smart and lazy aren't mutually exclusive. I've always said you have to be clever to come up with the easy way of doing things.

Smart! Lazy wouldn't have bothered to tear it apart in the first place.

The way I heard that line was give the laziest guy the hardest job and he will find the easiest way to do it.

Many times I was that guy.

Looks smart to me, now you need to come up with something that will keep that fluid from constantly dripping on my head
