Rubber bumpers on b pillar?

Have a question on the B pillar there are three holes where the door meets it. Are there supposed to bumpers it those holes?

I bought a complete rubber kit for the truck. However, I can only find two bumpers that fit that size hole.

Re: Rubber bumpers on b pillar?

I'm pretty sure there were only 4 from the factory. Look at the LMC catalog item 12 and 13

https://www.lmctruck.com/1967-72-che...and-components

I went ahead and put 3 on each side on my truck.

Re: Rubber bumpers on b pillar?

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Like you I am going to put the bumpers in at all six locations.

Re: Rubber bumpers on b pillar?

depends on the year of the truck. i have a 67 and a 68 and both of them have 3 bumpers per door, as shown in your pics. unsure of when they went to 2 bumpers per door

Re: Rubber bumpers on b pillar?

Thanks Willie. I did some more digging in my pile of parts and found four more of the bumpers. I now have three installed on each side.

Re: Rubber bumpers on b pillar?

I just looked at my other 1968, that has original rockers, it doesn't have holes in the rocker for the 3rd bumper. Drivers side has a bumper at the top and passenger has 2 bumpers, top and middle.
