Best seam sealer for rocker replacement?

Would anyone recommend a specific seam sealer that works well with rocker panel replacement? I was surprised how much they globbed on at the factory, it was hard to find all the spot welds.

Re: Best seam sealer for rocker replacement?

I have used this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005RNFBMC

But honestly, if you check with your local paint supplier, I'm sure they could recommend something.

That's a ridiculous amount the factory used.

I was thinking, that is not a super critical joint to seal, it's mostly cosmetic. It will drain at the bottom of the rocker if water got in, but I guess it is best not to have water between the metal layers if possible.

Re: Best seam sealer for rocker replacement?

You stated best seam sealer, not least costly. I used this on my rockers and kick panel seams.

This was used in the drip rail https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0?ie=UTF8&th=1
Unfortunately, the specific 3M caulking gun is needed to dispense the product. I had access to one so it did not incur any extra cost. Both products were easy to use and worked well.

I used the cream colored SEM seal sealer on my Blazer.
