Re: Impala SS/Caprice rear disc brake BRACKETS

Bob, Do you think these will fit/work with the 93' Camaro calipers? Not a bad price for drilled and slotted.

Re: Impala SS/Caprice rear disc brake BRACKETS

Sorry for the delays guys. The board member that was going to send me a set of Camaro parts to work off of has had some difficulties getting them to me, so I bought a set of OEM brackets off of eBay the end of last week. As soon as they get here (this week I hope) I will be getting them ready to cut. I hope to have something ready within a couple of weeks. Althought this time, I plan on installing them on my truck first to make sure there are no fit issues before I start sending them out.

Re: Impala SS/Caprice rear disc brake BRACKETS

Wish you would have said something - I've got the rectangular OEM 93-97 Camaro brackets just sitting here. If I didn't have a car with it's transmission sitting on the floor in the garage and another needing it's fuel injection tweaked, not to mention the house maintenance stuff, I'd probably be having fun cutting on Camaro pieces.

Re: Impala SS/Caprice rear disc brake BRACKETS

Bob, if possible add my name to list for the 12 bolt, camaro brackets. I purchased the impala brackets awhile back but I'm liking the idea of an e-brake!

Thanks,
Adam

I'm cutting a set tonight, and will have the calipers in my hand on Thrusday. Doing the test fit on my truck this weekend, then I should have a frim date for them to be made available.

Re: Impala SS/Caprice rear disc brake BRACKETS

UPDATE!!!! The material came in today for the Camaro brackets. I just need to make a minor dimension change in CAD, then I will cutting them this weekend. I will post a for sale ad in the classifieds when they are ready to ship.

** Edit ** - I thought the package that was delivered today was my rotors.....WRONG!! I checked the tracking number and I will have the rotors Tuesday, so once I mock up the first set Tuesday night, and be sure everything is OK, THEN i will have them ready to ship.

Re: Impala SS/Caprice rear disc brake BRACKETS

I did a test fit on my truck last night. Everything looks good so far, except that I will be using a thicker material than the Impala brackets. The Camaro brackets will bolt to the axle housing flange on the INSIDE of the flange, versus the outside of the flange like the Impala brackets.

The fit looks good, but I will need to order the thicker material from my steel supplier in Denver. It may be the end of this week before I get the material.
