Re: Carburetor

Harold,
It might be helpful to mention what exact type of carb you may need rebuilt.
Some folks build specific carbs, like Quadrajets, Carter AFB's and such. Some that build specific carbs don't touch other brands. I know of a guy in New Hampshire that might tackle anything, but am not sure if he builds all brands. He is not cheap, but is worth every penny...

Re: Carburetor

For quadrajets I highly recommend Quadrajet Power LLC, www.quadrajetpower.com

Re: Carburetor

the man you need to talk to for Quadrajets is Lars from Corvetteforum.com. Do some searching there for all the praise he gets for his work in the Q-jets. His email is V8fastcars@msn.com. He does the work out of his house, and test every carb on a test engine before sending them back. He'll tell you it will look just like it did before you sent it to him, he does not restore the appearance on the outside.

Re: Carburetor

Ken at Everyday Performance or Mark at Quadrajet Power or Cliff Ruggles at Cliff's High Performance can plate your carburetor to look like new.
