Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

That truck originally came from Palm Springs (desert) which explains the lack of rust on it. It also has the original black/gold plates which are cool.

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

I wish it was me... I didn't go to the auction before it was over for a reason.... I don't want the VISA bill (heck, I still have a few payments on the burb)
You HAVE to take a butt load of photos of the whole trip... and good photos of the truck.
You are a lucky man. Remember, this is the only documented 50th stepside we have seen on here.

Great buy!! I thought $8,000 was a bit out of line, but I think $5,200 is a great price. Add in the adventure of the trip, and it's a steal.

Are you driving it home?

I'm going to use a tow dolly, It hasn't been on the road since 2004. Don't want to take any chances with my "baby".

My offer stands. Cost of fuel from your place to truck and back.

My truck is in my avatar.

Be a lot safer.

Hate to see you tow that on a dolly.

Dude, I'd be all over Mikes offer! I wouldn't want to risk it with a dolly either when a rig like his is available.

I said in my earlier post I'd give 4 or 5K depending on how it looked in person, so I think you got a great buy!

Congratulations on the new ride!

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

I just don't want to see it damaged at all.

I bid the truck up too. I wanted it.

Just with the "buy it now" at $8K i thought the reserve was a lot higher. Go figure.

When i list stuff on Ebay i put the BIN price a little over my reserve.

Oh well.

I think he got a decent buy. Im jealous.

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

fine69, thanks again for the offer, but my one buddy really wants to go on this road trip too. He missed out on the trip to GA. so I'm going to try to line something up with the seller and my buddy. I will keep you in mind if something changes. And as far as bidding it up, I think I just made the reserve, so I guess the price needed a little push. I figure the reserve to be 7500
