Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

I was cleaning out the garage for 2 days, I really had a feeling this was going to be mine. Don't worry about the snow, she'll never see it except for looking out the window.

I'm going to clean it up when it gets home, I'm not sure what my plans will be, but I do know that the first thing that I'm ordering while be one of those buddy seat covers from Rick's. Thanks stllookn, since you posted your pics of your buddy buckets, I knew that I would have to have a my old torn set covered like that. They are SWEET!!!

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

No It's not here yet. Goldenboy will be here tomorrow, that's what me and the kids are calling it. When my boy looks at the pictures, he keeps saying, "dad, you have to take off that extra tire". The wife has been a complete surprise, all she said was "Good, now a don't have to get you a father's day gift." If there is a chance that I don't like it, I will let you know Longhorn Man.

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

I will be posting pics when I get it, but it might take a few days. I have to go out 11-7 tonight. And since I haven't really been able to sleep since I bought it, I think that it is going to be a long week of midnights.

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

Nice truck, very well perserved original. I thought all 50th anniv. equipped pickups had the "CST" option. This truck appears to be a "Custom". Note white front bumper and door emblems. In other words, can you get the 50th anniv. package on all trim levels?

I saw a local 50th C/10 LWB fleetside that had NO option package. They didn't need custom nor CST.

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

It's home and it's everything I was hoping it was. To get pa title and plates, I had to drive to a certified scaleto get it weighed for on the new title. On the way back it started to spit and sputter, dirty gas. It's been sitting for the last few years. Like I said, I'm working midshift and not able to work on it much. I sure I'm not the only guy on here with a wife and 2 kids. There are other things that do need done OTHER then these trucks, at least that is what my wife told me. I will post pics in a few days. I really want to get the gas tank to clean it.

Re: Stepside 50th anniversary truck on Ebay

We ended up using a trailer. But when I went to get the new title and plates, The Maryland title did not have the actaul weight of the empty truck, So then I had to drive it to get a certified scale weight, 3740lbs. Remember, I live in Pa, we have to jump through fire to get things titled and new plates. It does drive down the road nice and straight. It has 68800 actaul miles on it. The guy foung a log book that his father in law had. Get wait to get the gas tank clean and drive it again. My other shortbed truck has leafs springs, this one has the coils and the ride is much smother.

I hope so.... I'm feeling it already.
Yeah.... I don't even know you and I hate your guts. I need to talk to your wife, tell her how you don't need another old ugly death trap truck.
