Full Tubed Chassis build

Well I finally picked up a c-10 truck! It's a 66 long bed, but I'm going to convert it to a short bed. I'm pretty much leaving the truck the way it is but its going to be laying on 22"s with a full tubed chassis.

Re: My first c-10

Nice C10 brother...love it and I have always loved that gold and white combination. I am going to pay attention to your build as I am going to be building a 1965 C10 BBW Short Fleetside with V8, auto, and factory A/C. But I am always looking for ideas and I can't wait to see what transpires with your build.

Re: My first c-10

Looking very good. I've been wanting to build a frame like that for my truck, but just no time. Did you use your 3D CAD program to layout your bends, or did you perhaps use Bend Tech Pro?

Yeah I used the cad to lay out where the bends go but i had to still figure out the twist which wasn't that big of a deal..

Is the frame the same width from front to back? What size tube are you using?

The frame tapers in at the front just like the stock frame. The tubing is 1.5x.120DOM

Here is a pic of the frame twist

Re: My first c-10

Thanks for the info and the additional pic. I couldn't really see the front taper in the other pics.

I really like where you're going with this build. Please keep the updates and pics coming.

Dude...
Wow...
I was cutting angle iron today with a sawsall and cutting discs on my peanut grinder and thinking I was the schiznitz.
I am in awe and totally humility of what you are doing here!

I showed my wife your frame and pointed out the table you made to block it.

I cannot wait to see how this all turns out for you!
