Re: 68 project

It's been awhile, a long while since i've posting any updates! I thought I'd share a few. I changed my mind and decided to bag it. I got all the body work done and primed. These pics it is in the high build primer.

Re: 68 project

Thanks alot. It started as a beater build, but it just kept growing. Thats why the frame, motor, trans, etc aren't painted. Had to draw a line somewhere. I've got two other projects I want to work on also, (55 buick and another 68 SWB laying rocker). Those were the last pics I had on a camera. I've got alot on my phone, but the quality isn't that great. This is what it looks like today. It's been long blocked down twice and is in final prime. Waiting on 400 wet, then I'll get it painted. Goin back silver and white, with original trim. Goin with that satin look though. I'll flaten my clear so it'll still have the uv protection. Try really hard to have it done before summer is over. With work and family it's kinda hard finding the time to work on it. Which I'm sure most of y'all know what i'm talking about.

Re: 68 project

I'm diggin the look in the last pics of post 11 and 12 even if it is primer. Gonna be a sweet little ride. I'm not a fan at all of wide whites usually but something about this truck that I really like em on.

If you look at the pics, it was welded to the frame so probably not. You can take any hitch that's wide enough and cut it to fit between the frame rails like that.

Highperf4x4 is right. That was in the frame when I got it. It had to go. Some nasty welds.

Man I love that car. Found that car in a barn, in a nearby town. It had been sitting for like 27 years. The guy pulled it in there to fix the fender and never finished. The car has 41,xxx orignal miles, but it's locked up tighter than anything I've seen.
