Stock 454 carb/intake options
I have a freshly rebuilt Gen IV 454 with the larger oval port heads that I'm throwing in a swb k10. The truck has 4.10 gears and a TH350 transmission and it will see little else than street cruising. All I need to be up and running is an intake manifold and a carb.
I'd like to use Edelbrock's Performer RPM intake manifold (PN 7161) along with a 750cfm carb. Will this intake work with an otherwise stock engine? Thanks. |

Re: Stock 454 carb/intake options
It will. But you should look at the regular Performer as well. I'm pretty impressed about the size of the runners and it would be even better I think. On a driver, I'm still a Q-jet fan. Look into a JET.

Re: Stock 454 carb/intake options
I have an rpm intake and 770 avenger carb. Mine is a little over stock but not much. Runs great.
