Fuel tank options? 72 Blazer easy swap?
Looking at replacing, what is the best option that
is a easy swap. Everything is factory 350/350. Thanks in advance. |

Replacing with new? Buy a new 69-72 Blazer/Jimmy tank and swap the neck from the old tank onto the new tank.

Re: Fuel tank options? 72 Blazer easy swap?
The old neck will come off very easy, I used a plumbers torch.
I had to take my new tank to a radiator shop to get the new one off, the solder they used on that one took a lot of heat to get off. It worked out OK because I wanted them to put the old one on the new tank anyway. Of course be safe about it.

What's wrong with your old tank?

I wouldn't replace it then. If it's fine, leave it. I pulled mine just to clean it out, but with the hassle of the neck being wrong on new tanks I would much rather use an original tank. I cleaned mine and reinstalled it.
