Should I trade it?

Hi ya'll Im new to the site (best site in the web) and since this is my first
post I wanted to ask what do you guys/gals think about this trade....I own
a 70 suburban (in the works) it is pretty complete, been fixing the rocker
panels etc, the sub doesn't have a lot of rot so its an easy resto. A guy
100 miles away from where I live has a 74 crew cab, he change the front clip (82) , converted it to 1/2 ton (5 lug) and shortened the frame to accept a shortbed (nice and unique), both trucks are kool so what do think? Should I?
it would be a straight trade.

My sub....and the crew

In all reality, you're getting a biased opinion on this board.
I say keep it. No cool 67 - 72 is worth trading for a square body.

from that pic of the burb, I say burb all the way. 73-87s are way for common and easy to find IMO.

Re: Should I trade it?

It would really be a shame to trade.
Here we say if two trade, then one ends up crying.
So be glad you keep it because otherwise you where the one crying.

What he said... Keep the BURB!!!

Also, it sounds like that other truck has been heavily modified... You never know what kind of problems you will run into. And besides, the Burb looks way cooler - IMHO.

You really don't want to trade it, because if you did you would NOT have posted a poll in the 67-72 section.

original rallys. Also burb's got a 402 with a th400, crew's got a a 454 with th400, both run ok.

I can appreciate where you are comming from but when you might see a "rough" vehicle, I see a diamond in the rough! That's a beautiful burb with lots of potential!

The first pic is of my truck when I got it, the second is two years later. I think it was well worth the time and effort and so will your burb.

But honestly, noone here is really trying to tell you what to do, but as it has been said, we are all biased. We love the lines of the 67-72's but I am sure each member loves other vehicles for one reason or another in thier own way.

Good luck with whatever choice you make, and keep us posted when you do decide!

Re: Should I trade it?

As a fellow owner of a 67-72 burb I obviously have to say keep the burb. The square bodies are just too common and plain looking (Although I do dig a clean 73-79). If you pull up to a cruise night in youre burb I guarantee you will be getting some compliments, but if you pull up in that crew cab people are just going to wonder why someone parked their worktruck in the middle of the cruise night.
