Super rare, 15x7 (6-lug) ralley wheels

Here they are,... for the truck owners that thought they didn't exist.

I purchased these 4 wheels this past weekend, at a Springfield, MO swap meet.
These are just like the normal 15x8 4x4 truck ralley wheels, (6-lug), except they are only 7" wide.
I was trying to find a set for member 72BlckButy to use on the front of his "newly lowered" '69 swb.

I couldn't believe it when I walked up and spotted them.
Two of them are already spoken for,... but I'm trying to decide if I should keep them or let them go.
These are great for you 63-70 guys that switch to disc brakes and want to keep your truck 6-lug up front.
These help reduce the added track width of the disc brake conversion.

I was so stoked, to actually find some,... I just had to post a pic.

may as well sell him the whole set, he'll have a hard time finding 2 more that have the same size/number of holes.

Nates running 8's on the back and 7's up front to help hide the track width issues of the disc brake conversion,... along with the "narrower" 67-70 rearend.

I get why he is doing it... I understood all that.
I guess I shoulda typed out "little square holes around the parimeter of the hub"... i kinda figured anyone would just take a glance at these wheels and see that they don't ,atch the typical rally wheel. Yours has 10 holes, mine has 16.

So, like I said, you may as weell consider selling the whole set to nate so his truck doesn't have mis matched lookin wheels

The 15x7's DO match the 15x8 6-lug ralleys,... so they won't be mis-matched.
They are a different wheel than your 5-lug ralleys.

I believe they were on the early to mid 70's 4x4 gmc Jimmys . They are very hard to come by. Most people think they are 15x8's.

If you look at Nates (72BlckButy) "Blank Slate" thread in the 67-72 projects section,... you'll see how far the 15x8 ralleys stick outside the fenders after doing a disc brake swap and lowering the front.

Look here:

Well they weren't technically "outside" the fenders, but they were a little close for comfort. By running the 7's we were able to make sure they didn't rub while running down the road, and they gave that "tucked" look.

I put a set of 15 x 8.5 Centerline ConvoPros w/225-60-15 tires on a front disc conversion with bags and they never touched...the OUTER fender. The backspace was probably 4.5" so it would be equal to a 15x8 rally. The top of the tire started in when the upper a-arm passed parallel and they tucked even with dropped spindles . I think the shorter tire from what 72BlckButy is running was the difference.

The height is most likely what the difference was. That 225-60 was only 25.6" tall.

I could be wrong.
That's what I was told by the only guy that new what I was talking about, when I said "6-lug 15x7 ralley".
He was a wheel and hubcap guy from St. Louis.

That`s a fake picture.Those aren`t real!!

Even alot of guys with 71/72s run 7" 5-lug rallyes up front when using drop spindles or to give a big/little look.i`m sure someone would kill for them.

Great find. A needle in a haystack. Keep the other two, they're so hard to find. You never know what the next project will need. OR, sell them to me.

Can't you have those built aftermarket. Isn't that the "C" rally? I'm not up on these types but I thought the aftermarket companies can build these in any width you want Like this company....

Stockton offers the 6-lug truck ralleys (4x4 ralleys is what they call them) in sizes that are great... well, for a 4x4; but not so great for a lowered truck.

The rare 7" truck ralleys have less width & still work on the discs while matching the easy to find 6-lug 4x4 8" ralleys.

Hey Keith,
If you can't find anyone to take those off your hands, let me know. I think the wife and I are due for another road trip. I think we'll even bring something to drink this time instead of drinking all of yours.

Well, you got me. I walked right by them without noticing. Though, I did pick up some great truck parts, and kick myself for not buying those NOS Rocker Panels for $75 at 7:30 am. Trevor
