LOL, Sorry Pont!

For you 4X4 guys consider Raising vs Lowering.

I have a feeling my vote "Bone stock" - is gonna loose badly! Oh well it was 100% for a few minutes.

Pont, You still have a choice! My Jimmy USED to be a 4x4. Now it's got a 6/8 drop! That's like 10/12 in fourbyish.

lol@70 Jimmy, your right, I do have that choice but it totally slipped my mind after buying wheels, tires and lift for mine.

Gotta love the what your doing to yours. Being original is what it's all about in my book. Got pics?

Totally stock would be great, but there's just somethin in me that keeps saying "Lift it or Lower it"....as long as it's a 67-72, I'll admire it!

No pics yet. Works been keeping me away from finishing it. I'm hoping to be on the road in July. It will be a "work in progress".

Eventually will be lowered a little with some trick wheels and 400hp 350...... all it takes is time and money, both of which I seem to have misplaced lately....

I personally would not lower a truck, but I would lift one. It's just that in my part of the country, a lowered ride would be pretty much worthless as far as drivability goes. My vote goes to mild custom, change the steering wheel, the seat, the dash, the wheels, the suspension, the engine, the drive train, build it to be all it can be, without cutting it up to the point it can't be brought back to like new condition.

I like the stock look with performance add-ons, but I have considered a slight lowering, maybe 2".

If your truck was nice when you got it, for god's sake leave the thing alone. Put some nice rims, maybe change the stance a little, but that's it.
If on the other hand, like me, you got one that ain't pretty then chop the top. Add a custom dash and interior, whatever you want.

Stock with a few custom adds, wheels/steering wheel. Isn't that why we like Chevys for that vintage look? People go overboard customizing and the trucks start looking like Nissans out of one of those fast and furious movies
