OK ive got air baggs on my truck, on the rear and im trying to drop it all the way on the ground. but the air bagg set up i have even after i c notch it itll still not lay flat . i have the air bagg set up from early classic so can some one let me know a bagg set up thats not thousands of dallors tha will lay my truck on the ground in the rear and then i will bagg the front please help

Can't help you on the baggs but I sure do like the color on your truck with the wheels & white Walls. I love it!

I don't think you will be able to get the rear to touch the ground unless you you have a STEP notch. You will also need to cut the bed or raise the floor.

This is correct. It won't drop down past the obvious limitations.... the original frame rails & the bed floor.

A bolt-in c-notch will allow it to only drop a little more & then the rear hits the bed floor (so the floor has to go even before the 'step notch' is required).

you're not happy with that? you already gotta watch out for every bump in the road. i drive a lowered truck too, and i used to feel like if it didn't slam the ground and tuck rims it wasn't cool, but after driving a lowered truck everyday, i'm glad it's as far off the ground as my honda, and i've changed my tastes to "that's low enough for me". on a daily driver you're always under, it sure helps to have a little ground clearance.

Sorry about getting off subject but Matt, Nice mods in your build page. That truck came a long way. Did you recess the rear bumper? That's what I plan to do instead of using the gravel guards (bumper fillers). Also, I like the keg in the bed - should have been you fuel cell.

don't mean to thread jack, just wanted to reply

the bumper's in the stock place but the brackets didn't position the bumper right so i did modify the brackets to do so. the keg is so cool in my opinion but i still live at home, and dad ruled it as unsafe. you better believe as soon as i move out i'll have that keg in the bed.

As mentioned, you would have to raise or at least put a big notch in the bed floor to go any lower. And if you haven't tucked the exhaust within the crossmembers, you're not going any lower than that anyways.

Well if you want to lay frame on that truck it takes some work. We are in the middle of our shop truck build using a 71' LWB to start and its way more complicated than it looks. And if your going to do a Step notch I would recommend finding a good fabricator to make a crooked notch to match the frame. If you use a straight 8 piece not or even square tubing then it looks way outta place in my opinion. Heres how our notch came out.....

Nice work.

There are a couple of companies that offer weld-in step notch kits for the 'crooked' 6X-72 GM truck frames & one that might soon offer a bolt-in.

We could build one to bolt into just about anything. I could modify this one to bolt in. But I dont wanna get into production of anything. We pride ourselves in 1-off custom work.

I (along with a buddy of mine) run a shop called Honest Abe's Fab Shoppe outta Sanford, FL. Were just North of Orlando.

We do custom metal Fabrication and Specialize in Air ride suspension and Frame work.

I have been into the mini truck scene for about 5 years now. Have had 5 mini trucks and just recently purchased a 71' Chevy LWB as our Shop truck. We are going for the whole Speed Shop look and as soon as I get a little closer to completion I will post all of the build pics of it.

Here are a few of my previous trucks....

Just making sure you know a C- notch will most likely only get you about 2-3" lower at the most. You will need a step notch for the rear to have the frame on the ground.
